Since August 2015, Welcome Home Vietnam Veteran’s mission is to FIND, THANK and REPAY Hoosier Vets. A strategic collaboration with Indiana Daughters of the American Revolution has been a key component to over 250 community events taking place, 20,000 gifts presented, and ensuring all Indiana public libraries and high schools have a donated copy of A Time To Honor, Stories of Service, Duty, and Sacrifice.
Our final combined “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans” appreciation event will be on National Vietnam War Veterans Day, Saturday, March 29th, 2025. This is the last year for the Department of Defense 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam War as it will end on Veterans Day 2025. The event will take place at the Johnson County Indiana Armory, 325 Minuteman Way, Franklin, Indiana, 46131. Highlights include a complimentary luncheon, Huey Helicopter Flights provided by Columbus Indiana Huey, door prizes for Veterans, and a special viewing of The Journey Home documentary, a 2:00pm Appreciation Ceremony and wreath laying. All attendees will receive a copy of A Time To Honor—Stories of Service, Duty and Sacrifice book/DVD.
Our Honored Guest speaker is Indiana’s only living Medal of Honor Recipient Sammy L. Davis.
We hope you consider volunteering, donating a door prize, inviting and/or bringing a Veteran to help make this a very special day for Indiana Vietnam Veterans!
